Our Veterinarians
Dr. Bradford J. Theodoroff, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Theodoroff is the Practice Medical Director. He is a 1980 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He purchased the practice in 1986, and in 1996 he built the current hospital.
Dr. Theodoroff has served as a consultant and speaker for multiple animal health companies, helping to expand the knowledge of zoonotic intestinal diseases in veterinary practices. He has participated in 15 FDA studies that produced veterinary-changing drugs and 10 dietary studies that highlighted the importance of animal nutrition in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Theodoroff was born and raised in the area. He has 3 grown children who live in various parts of the country. He enjoys golfing and traveling in his free time.
Dr. Stephanie Tallis, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Stephanie Tallis was born and raised in eastern Canada. She graduated from the University of Prince Edward’s Island in 2006 with her DVM degree. Since then, she has been living and practicing in southeastern Michigan.
While she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Tallis’ special areas of interest include internal medicine, geriatric medicine, skin disease, and behavioral issues. Dr. Tallis is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB), and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). She is a past Secretary for the Toledo Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) and is currently an Academy member of the Southeast Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (SEMVMA).
Dr. Tallis lives in Troy with her three daughters, Elizabeth, Meredith, and Gwyneth, and her wonderful husband, Jason. They love to spend time at the ocean and camping outdoors. Her pet family currently includes her poodle, Disco, and her cat, Arrietty.
Dr. Claudia Perkowski, DVM
Veterinarian
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Claudia Perkowski obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in Biology from the University of Kentucky. Then going on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With two years of practice, she has quickly established herself in the field, earning certifications in equine and small animal acupuncture, as well as fear-free practices. As a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Dr. Perkowski stays up to date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Her professional interests include dentistry and preventive medicine, and she has conducted significant research in animal nutrition and pharmacology during her academic tenure. Dr. Perkowski prides herself on delivering quality over quantity in her practice, focusing on empowering clients with comprehensive information and providing personalized care plans tailored to each pet and owner’s needs. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Perkowski enjoys traveling to warm destinations, cooking with fresh ingredients from her garden, practicing hot yoga, riding horses, playing tennis, and attending concerts with her husband. She is multilingual, fluent in Polish, Spanish, and English, thanks to over 13 years in dual-language programs. She has plans to establish a small farm in the future, where she can continue her passion for animal care and agriculture.

Barbara, Lead Veterinary Technician
Lead Veterinary Technician
Barbara graduated from the Macomb Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2017 and has been a licensed veterinary technician since then. Growing up, she had always had a huge passion and love for animals and knew that she wanted to go into this field. She can’t imagine doing anything else. This field has granted Barbara amazing opportunities to grow continuously and learn new things. Our lead technician started working at AMC of Troy back in September of 2017 and has loved it ever since! She and her husband, Blake, currently share a home with their two dogs, Autumn and Soldier, and three cats, Buster, Clarice, and Morticia.
Amanda, Veterinary Technician

Amanda has been a licensed veterinary technician for almost 20 years and still loves her job. She graduated from Macomb Community College’s vet tech program in 2004. She has worked in Honolulu, HI, with marine mammals and various sea life, as well as at the Detroit Zoological Society for 10 years. Working in this field has given Amanda many amazing opportunities and introduced her to countless knowledgeable people. She started working at AMC of Troy in October 2022 and absolutely loves it here! Currently, Amanda has two dogs named Lucy and Lily and two cats named Alice and Dwight.

Kailee joined Animal Medical Center of Troy in January 2023. She is a 2022 graduate of the Veterinary Technician program at Macomb Community College. She currently has 1 male cat that is absolutely adorable!

Hospital Manager
Kris joined Animal Medical Center of Troy in October 2002. She is a 2000 graduate of the Veterinary Technician program from Wayne County Community College. She has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since August 2000. She has a deerhound named Cardhu, and in her free time, she likes to read, play video games, and cook.
Jen, Veterinary Assistant
Veterinary Assistant
After working many years in retail, Jen has decided to pursue her true passion of working with animals. She joined AMC of Troy in October 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant and intends to pursue an education to become a licensed Veterinary Technician. Jen has a four-year-old German Shepherd named Buck, who is the center of her world. When she is not walking trails or playing fetch with Buck, she spends her free time reading, journaling, and creating.

After working a few years in the Real Estate and Mortgage business, Jenna has decided to live out her dream of working with animals. She has always had a true passion for working with and taking care of animals. She started working at AMC of Troy in October of 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant. She plans to further her education in this field and hopes to become a licensed Veterinary Technician. Jenna has two dogs named Molly and Maggie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She loves to play video games and try new food and things!

Our lead receptionist Linda started working at AMC of Troy in 2013 but has been in the Veterinary industry since 2001. She has worked with rescue groups throughout the years, and her go-to dog is the Doberman. She is currently enjoying her new grandson and granddogs. In her free time, she enjoys attending Minor League Hockey games, concerts, playing darts, bowling, and riding motorcycles.

Janet started working at AMC of Troy in October 2022. She is another one of our amazing front desk receptionists. She currently has no pets at the moment, but she grew up with both cats and dogs. In her free time, Janet likes to read, write, and play video games with friends.

Marissa started working at AMC of Troy in October 2022. She is one of our amazing front desk receptionists. She currently has two cats and a parakeet, but she loves animals of all shapes and sizes! Another fun fact about Marissa, besides loving animals, her favorite color is yellow!
